TOWARDS HARMONISING WATER RESOURCES LAWS IN MALAYSIA – 4th April 2018, Kuala Lumpur
The Malaysian Water Partnership (MyWP) organized a special workshop on harmonizing water and water resources management laws on 4th April 2018. Participation was by invitation only to persons with considerable knowledge and experience on the related topic. The workshop sought for the feedback on the lukewarm acceptance of the proposed Water Resources Act and to develop strategies in promoting the Act.
The MyWP Chairperson, Dato’ Ir. Hj. Nor Hisham Mohd Ghazali, welcomed the 24 participants to the workshop and presented a brief background on the proposed Water Resources Act. The workings of the workshop were explained by Datuk Ir. Mohd Adnan Mohd Nor; a meta-planning method, in brainstorming the issues faced in promoting the Water Resources Act to the relevant state authorities and agencies throughout the country, as well as developing approach strategies.
The afternoon session of the workshop synthesized the results of the brainstorming session.
