Training/Workshop on Water Security & Safety Planning – 8 to 9 December 2015,  Akademi Sains Malaysia.

Malaysian Capacity Development Network for Sustainable Water Management (MyCDNet) in collaboration with Akademi Sains Malaysia (ASM), Malaysian Water Association (MWA), Jabatan Pengairan dan Saliran Malaysia (JPS) and Sime Darby, with full support from CapNet UNDP, is organising a Training of Trainers (ToT) cum Workshop on Water Security and Safety Planning for participants who have some dealings with water and the environment in their organisations to share knowledge and experiences on aspects of water. There will be transfers of knowledge from professionals of various backgrounds, decision makers, researchers and the general public and vice-versa, to understand the water agenda better for a more secure and safe water future.

The objective of this workshop is to create awareness and capacity-build participants to safeguard sustainable access to adequate quantities of water that is of acceptable quality for sustaining livelihoods, human well-being and socio-economic development, for ensuring protection against water-borne pollution, water-related diseases, and for preserving ecosystems in a climate of peace and political stability.

The fees for this workshop are as follows:
RM200 (MyCDNet Members); and
RM300 (Non-members)

(including meals and a technical visit to a water treatment plant, with transportation)
MyCDNet has applied to the Board of Engineers Malaysia for CPD hours.
